At NYU, vocal performance majors at the beginning of their senior year, as a requirement have to put on a senior recital. This past November I had mine. It was one of the best experiences of my life. It took months of planning, weeks of rehearsal to prepare my recital. It featured a classical set, Judy Garland set, contemporary music theatre set and Annie Get Your Gun as my character study. I had a blast stomping around the stage playing a headstrong cowgirl. I was blessed with a stellar cast, amazing pianist, fantastic coach and amazing voice teacher that helped me on my journey. I would not have been possible without all the love and support from my family and friends.
